Greg Mishka's Gangsta Track
For Greg's belated birthday present. His girlfriend bought him a Medium Brooklyn Machine Works Gangsta Track. BMW's bikes are pretty hard to get ahold of and he had to wait a bit. The guys at Affinity hooked him up with a pretty slick build. Purple Deep V's, Sugino 75s and a nice Thomson stem and a Ti Rolls!
I'm always stoked when people get new bikes and this one's a beauty!
What's the point of getting a gangsta track in you're going to throw a front break on it?
ReplyDeleteBecause it's a good bike for someone who used to ride a BMX and not everyone who rides these like to barspin.
ReplyDeleteAustin Horse has one with a front brake and he's NACCC a champ... Actually, believe it or not, a lot of people ride Gangstas with front brakes here in NYC.
Right on. It just seems that one of the main features of a gangsta track is the fact that it can barspin. I'm not calling anybody a wuss or whatever, it just seems like they would get a different bike - to each their own.
ReplyDeleteNah man it's cool. A lot of people ride the Gangstas because they're solid bikes first and foremost.
ReplyDeleteI know a few people who bought them as their first "track" bike because it felt more solid than a light and delicate traditional frame.
I am sure once I get used to riding I will take off the front brake. Its ok you can call me a wuss. Bitch! hahah
ReplyDeleteHaha, word. I guess I'm just jealous because I've been wanting a frame that can barspin with 700c.
ReplyDeletemotherfucker jacked my build!
ReplyDelete(sans brake, obvs)
