So here's the latest rendering i've been working on at my office. I'll spare the archi-jargon and just say that it's a staircase suspended off a steel-framed wall. The intent was to leave the space feeling "light" while using steel-construction. Anyway, here are some preliminary views
I would be afraid of walking up that thing. How is it floating there?
ReplyDeletenice, what renderer are you using?
ReplyDeleteCinema 4d 9.6... 4 lights and some GI tweaking, no post-processing...
ReplyDeleteget that handrail off that wall. you only need one!
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree, take the handrail off the wall. Whats the big armature at the end, the translucent box? I am also a bit skeptical about the solid mass as the final two steps. I think its interesting to address as a transition, but its just not helping to suspend the stair. In the end though, its pretty baddass. Nice man, nice
ReplyDeleteYeah, because this will be a live / work space, you do need two handrails. Also, we tried to make the top landing float as well, but we couldn't make the structure work. I fought for it, but it's just not gonna happen. Thanks tho dudes.
