ahh yes, your "drum and bass days" what, 2001? 2000? oh man, you are so far ahead of everything.. you are seriously the biggest clown ever. Fake as fuck, keep it up though man...

You see "Matt", You met me in 2004. We hung out 3 times and you act like you know me... It's funny how the only people who say this shit to me are 2 kids from NC who haven't grown up. My real friends [i.e. people who have known me in real life, not from a website - you tend to get the 2 mixed up] never say such things to me. And yet, you, this internet "bully", claims to know the REAL Prolly...

You're pretty pretentious in a lot of ways, one of which is how you claim to be far ahead of everything yourself. Sure I listened to Drum and Bass in highschool and college. I went to shows in Charlotte and laughed at the raver kids all fucked up on drugs like yourself. I didn't drink at the time, so I was a DD. The amount of UFO pants, glowstick waving scenesters like yourself made me glad that I had chosen not to partake in E, K, ect...

I never claimed to be "ahead of the curve" and yet, you seem threatened. remember how when I first joined Mis-one.com, there was a music thread where I was referring to LTJ Bukem, Adam F, Peshay and Roni Size and you Emailed me wanting to know what other music I was into...? Yeah I do.

Then, 2 years later, you turn around on me and call me fake. Why is that? Sure, you read all the blogs and try to find out what's going on outside of Charlotte, but in the REAL world, experience is not based on ethereal websites. You absorb what's contextual and in Charlotte, your context is shit, so you absorb it.

The sad part is that you've been "hitting" my blog a lot lately. Like 6 times a day. Are you THAT fascinated with me? Do you REALLY have nothing better to do? I know your job is such a high-profile one that requires LOADS of creative energy, but shouldn't you be doing something else?

You're calling me fake? Aren't you the one who is posting under an anonymous name? Keep it up. What next man? "Raver" Kid > Hip Hop "Guru" > Deadbeat near-dropout > Alcoholic > STRAIGHT EDGE!!!!!

I'd hate for you to "drop edge", which is what most people do when they move outside the whole "highschool" era of things...

Here's a lil information you left behind...

Mr. NC blogger,
As a matter of fact there were many people into the dnb scene circa 2000 because that's about when it was at it's peak, especially what was coming out of the UK. and then the rave scene "died" because a lot of those kids moved on. it has nothing to do with being ahead of anything, music isn't a competition, and i'm sure you've made similar references yourself. people's music tastes evolve and there's nothing fake about that.

here's a correct use of the word: "breast implants look fake."

move on from your junior vocabulary dude.

John, you've been pretty "real" for as long as I've known you.

john seems real to me. i see him and i can even touch him and as far as i know he didn't come out of a box. and he's not a clown, he's an architect but he is pretty funny when you get to know him.

damn, I didn't know we were talking about alcoholics, otherwise I would have mentioned your fucking father, isn't he an alcoholic john?? and yes, this is MATT, I just thought I should let everyone know.. oh, and to whichever one of john's friend who said 2000 was the peak of drum and bass music.. try 1995/1996, thanks. you're doing such big things in nyc john... it just sucks that you are so late on all of your hobbies and interests...

Give it up man. Quit tryin to post fake accusations. Your life must be really trite and boring.

Yeah, my dad was an alcoholic. I'm assuming you have a point in all this useless banter? Sorry if you equate my life with being much "bigger" than yours.

It's really convoluted in a sense, I move to NYC to persue a better career [which is why most people do] and you take it as "John moved to NYC to make it BIG" - which is more along the lines of typical teeny-bopper movies where the girl from the small town moves to NY to be a model. Now it all makes sense.

Give it a rest.

how can someone be "late" in their hobbies and interests? what is that supposed to mean exactly matt? and why are you so obsessed with john and writing on his blog if you seem to have such scorn for him? i think you hate your life and wish you could move to nyc and do what john is doing. that's just my guess.

oh yeah, and about the drum n bass topic, i won't act like i know more than anyone, but 2000 did see a revival and new style of jungle emerging. a lot of "anthem" tracks came out of the late 90s and up till around then. it's really a matter of opinion as far as a music's "peak" but i don't care enough to talk about it anymore.
